How Did We Get Started?

The Regional Solidarity Trust (FRS) stands out as an innovative pilot project jointly led by the Federation of Non-Profit Housing Organizations of Montreal (FOHM) and Accueil Bonneau since 2021. Its goal is to establish a regional community voluntary trust service accessible to more people. This need had long been identified by partners in social housing and homelessness. The project is funded by the Regional Homelessness Service of the CIUSSS of the Centre-Sud-de-l’Île-de-Montréal under measure 7.1 of the 2021–2026 Interministerial Action Plan on Homelessness.

Coordination Team

The FRS coordination team is composed of Accueil Bonneau and FOHM. Together, they develop the pilot project and implement service points throughout Montreal. Responsibilities are shared based on each organization’s expertise to ensure effective implementation.

  • Accueil Bonneau: With 50 years of experience operating a voluntary trust, they bring expertise in homelessness and trust administration.1
  • FOHM: Representing over 280 non-profit housing groups in Montreal, FOHM brings 35 years of experience in social/community housing and training.
